​Com Day is an annual event that brings together students, faculty, alumni and communication professionals.

We would like to invite you to a full day of learning, sharing, networking and exploring the future of communication. This event provides a platform for communication professionals to share their knowledge, experience and insights about current trends in the media and for students to learn how best to prepare themselves for successful and fulfilling careers. Awards and scholarships are also presented for outstanding performance to communication students on this day.
This year’s theme, “Real World: The COMplete Package", focuses on teaching students how to become the complete package by making the most of a college degree when stepping into the real world and the competitive job market. Students will have the opportunity to attend seminars led by professionals, take advantage of workshops taught by experts and ask a panel of alumni their most compelling questions. This all-day event is free to attend and will also feature live entertainment, complimentary food and an opportunity drawing.
COM DAY is planned, organized and executed by students of the Special Events Planning class under the direction of Dr. Vinita Dhingra and is hosted by Cal Poly Pomona's Communication Department.
